We hear a lot about global warming. But recently there’s been more talk about ocean acidification. In a nutshell, ocean acidification is the lowering of the pH of the oceans. It can have devastating consequences for the skeleton-building coral reefs and shell-building invertebrates such as crabs, lobsters, mussels and clams. That means it effects us here on land, too.
